A US hand tool company was considering to acquire or form a JV with a Chinese local company in order to expand their footprint in the Chinese market and establish a solid manufacturing base in China within a shortest timeframe and minimum cost.

South Sphere selected and proposed five local hand tool manufacturers as potential candidates for partnership or acquisition. Through visiting their plants and meeting with their management, we did a detailed assessment on those candidates from various perspectives such as location, organization, production, quality, sales and marketing, financials, management team, company culture and reputation in the industry etc.  After reviewing each potential candidate’s profile and the client’s China strategy, we presented our report with detailed findings, analysis, potential risks and rewards and a recommended action plan.
